JE Henry, owner of IT 4 the Planet and former CIO of Regal Entertainment Group, and Tim Hinson, former Director of Theatre Operations at Regal Entertainment Group, are creating a new division of IT 4 the Planet tailored specifically to the theater exhibition industry.
JE and Tim, along with other current IT 4 the Planet employees, have over 75 combined years of experience in theater operations and technology.
The forced shutdown of theaters during the COVID pandemic and the impact of the pandemic on film releases was very rough on theater exhibitors and many were forced to significantly reduce staffing levels. As COVID restrictions have eased and theaters have re-opened, the theater exhibition and film industries are starting to bounce back. However, a return to pre-pandemic staffing levels and capabilities will likely take a significant period of time. To remain competitive and accelerate the recovery from the pandemic, exhibitors must move forward with projects that will entice customers to return to theaters.
